Think about peace and righteousness.
Every moment there’s an action he is calling us
to do, to share, to wait, to say.
There’s a person who’s lost and it might be today
that God is calling them in an unexpected way,
and he’s using his faithful servant.
Don’t ask how – you need not understand.
Just be the clay moulded by God’s hand.
When he says “Jump”, don’t ask “How high?”
Just jump without pausing to wonder why.
You might make it an inch or he might make you fly.
It’s your obedience that he desires.
God might tell you to smile, or to go change the station,
or, yes, to go serve a less fortunate nation,
or to suffer great loss, or call someone you’ve met,
or to pick up the trash, or to forgive a debt,
or something it’s impossible to imagine yet.
When the shepherd calls, his sheep listen.
Just as a butterfly results in a storm,
your obedience here could lead to someone’s reform,
who lives hours away, whom you never see,
whom you couldn’t have helped intentionally.
It changes their life and I guarantee
it turns out better than we could’ve planned it.
Don’t ask what your kingdom can do for you – your King’s already done it.
There’s a war going on – though he’s already won it.
Your part is to focus on just your part.
Try not to be slow off the line or to take a head start.
Just love the Lord with all your heart.
Seek his kingdom first and all will be well.
