Blessed church, bride of Christ, grouped by God in time and place.
He’s made it clear he has you here to spread the Word of saving grace.
To live it out, day by day,
resisting sin, Christ leads the Way.
We are equipped with all we need,
but we still live where Satan feeds.
And if you quit your watch, he might
slip through the window late at night.
Or through the front door, march right in.
Slick words and clothes, still slave to sin.
Some Christians, though, he may seduce.
Then, feigning peace, call for a truce.
‘Keep your beliefs’, he’ll sweetly hiss,
‘but just add this and this and this’.
But if we mix the truth with lies,
Religion God won’t recognize.
Away! Away! Send Satan out.
Appeal to God with soulful shout.
Confront those teaching false beliefs.
The Truth gives those confused relief.
Then come anew, cry out, revive.
The Spirit speaks for he’s alive.
Christ died for your sins to atone.
Accept, and worship God alone.
