If I really believed, I would wake up each day,
First I’d jump up for joy, and then kneel down to pray.

With a pep in my step and a smile on my face
I would walk everywhere spreading love everyplace.

I’d take food to the hungry, I’d feast on the Word.
I’d share boldly with all the good news that I’ve heard.

I’d show true compassion, not just when it’s easy,
but to those that are hateful, abusive, and sleazy.

When beat up or made fun of, I would not get offended.
I’d know that person was hurt and just needed befriended.

I wouldn’t seek fame nor lust after curves,
but give all of God’s children the love they deserve.

I would sell my possessions and walk to Peru,
Heal the sick as I went, yep that’s what I’d do.

I’d endure every insult, use my tongue to be kind.
You could steal all my savings and I wouldn’t mind.

I wouldn’t fear eyes that gave a cruel, mocking gaze.
I’d know God has my back everywhere and always.

I would give up my life, I would stand up for truth.
I would serve local widows and parentless youth.

While Satan makes lies for the truth repositioning,
I wouldn’t be home watching tv in the air conditioning.

I wouldn’t choose anything that caused distance from God.
I’d know earthly glory was an evil facade.

I would love people like Jesus does, desperate for salvation for the deceived.
Those are some things I would do if I really believed.
