We live with the power to act in his name
to further the kingdom, the reason he came,
to give hope to the hopeless and raise up the lame.
Yesterday and forever he’s always the same.
He promises never to leave us.
Pray and rejoice every day that we’re living.
Take every step, every breath with thanksgiving.
His peace on our face and his faith in our lungs.
His love in our heart and his name on our tongues.
Even when nobody likes or believes us,
You call power and truth when you say the name Jesus.
