Jehovah Creator,
The before and the later,
How does your garden grow?
“I work and I dig,
I’m really quite big,
I made all the stars so you’d know.”
So don’t let your work
drive you fully berserk.
You are made to make things that are good.
God gave us the pieces
to turn wool into fleeces,
to make beautiful carvings from wood.
He made all the plants,
Woolly mammoths and ants –
Variety isn’t a curse.
If you want all things the same,
then it’s not in his name,
’cause the world that he made is diverse.
In his image we’re made
and his glory’s displayed
when we seek out his rules and his order.
He gave all mice their squeak,
every mountain its peak,
every proton and neutron their border.
When you look all around,
at the sky or the ground,
it’s a bit of God’s glory you see.
Whether this world or next
every atom reflects
how God reigns all of eternity.
